SV	Ik zeg [dit] niet [als] gebiedende, maar [als] door de naarstigheid van anderen ook de oprechtheid uwer liefde beproevende.

Trans.	ou kat epitagēn legō alla dia tēs eterōn spoudēs kai to tēs ymeteras agapēs gnēsion dokimazōn

Alex	ου κατ επιταγην λεγω αλλα δια της ετερων σπουδης και το της υμετερας αγαπης γνησιον δοκιμαζων
ASV	I speak not by way of commandment, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity also of your love.
BE	I am not giving you an order, but using the ready mind of others as a test of the quality of your love.
Byz	ου κατ επιταγην λεγω αλλα δια της ετερων σπουδης και το της υμετερας αγαπης γνησιον δοκιμαζων
Darby	I do not speak as commanding [it], but through the zeal of others, and proving the genuineness of your love.
ELB05	Nicht befehlsweise spreche ich, sondern wegen des Fleißes der anderen, und indem ich die Echtheit eurer Liebe prüfe.

Sch	Nicht als Gebot sage ich das, sondern um durch den Eifer anderer auch die Echtheit eurer Liebe zu erproben.
Scriv	ου κατ επιταγην λεγω αλλα δια της ετερων σπουδης και το της υμετερας αγαπης γνησιον δοκιμαζων
Web	I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.
Weym	I am not saying this by way of command, but to test by the standard of other men's earnestness the genuineness of your love also.
